Recent studies indicate that women over the age of 65 who drink coffee on a daily basis can increase their cognitive abilities.  Despite the fact that we are constantly barraged with bad news about the effects of coffee, it seems that this latest study, conducted in Finland, actually proves that there are some benefits to taking coffee regularly when it comes to older women and memory loss. 

 Coffee is the national drink in the United States with the vast majority of Americans drinking this brew.  It seems that every company from Starbucks to McDonalds is featuring a special brew for those who not only love coffee, but flavored coffee as well.  There is no doubt about it – Americans love their coffee.  Although the caffeine in coffee is considered to be an addictive substance, there can be some good qualities about the drink after all. 

Loss of cognitive ability is common in many older people.  As we get older, we tend to become more forgetful and often need help remembering simple things.  This can be troublesome for older people who are striving to be independent.  Most elderly people fear becoming dependent on their children or others when it comes to their quality of life.
